In today's busy lifestyle, people start losing their hair at an early age. If your hair is falling prematurely then this is a concern.

On hair loss, we start trying different types of shampoos, oil, but often forget that the real reason for hair loss is hidden in our food. Hair loss starts due to lack of vitamins in the diet.

1.   Protein: According to the Health Service of Harvard University, to prevent the problem of falling hair, about 0.36 grams of protein is needed for 1 pound of body weight every day. For example, people who weigh 68 kg need 54 grams of protein in a day.

Some of the good sources of proteins are eggs, lean meat, poultry, fish, dairy products like milk, yogurt, cheese and beans and soya products like tofu.

Vegetarian people need more protein than non-vegetarians. Actually, our body does not get as much benefit from the protein it gets from vegetables as it does from meat and fish. Along with this, the body of pregnant women and exercising people requires high amount of protein.

2.   Folic acid: According to the Huntington College of Health Service, due to lack of folic acid in the body, hair loses its natural color along with premature loss. Apart from this, due to lack of it, the problem of sleeplessness and fatigue also starts.

Good sources of folic acids are leafy green vegetables such as spinach, citrus fruits such as orange, beans, bread, cereals, rice and pasta.

3.   Calcium: A main cause of hair loss is lack of calcium in the body. According to the health expert, it is necessary to consume 100 to 200 mg of calcium daily. But intake of calcium without magnesium can be harmful.

Good sources of calcium are milk, cheese, dairy foods, green leafy vegetables, beans and soya drinks.

4.   Iodine: According to Huntington College of Health Service, there may be a problem of hair loss due to lack of iodine in the body. Actually, iodine is very important for the proper functioning of thyroid. Hair loss starts when thyroid is not active

Good sources of iodine are seafoods generally rich in iodine and dairy products like milk cheese and products.

5.   Zinc: Accordin  to the Health Service of Huntington College, to overcome the problem of falling hair, it is necessary to have 15 mg of zinc daily in the diet. This mineral is found in small amount in those who have hair loss, due to which the cell in the hair follicle divides and the hair growth either reduces or stops.

Good source of zinc are oysters, red meat, poultry, whole grains and milk products.

So eat healthy meal full of proteins and vitamins to stop hairfall and to get a long beautiful hairs.
