To maintain these expensive products for a long time and perform at their best, it is important that they are packaged correctly. Cosmetic companies have created some innovative containers that make them more effective, stylish and economical.

Types of cosmetics

Cosmetic packaging is available for all types of cosmetics, and they come in all shapes and sizes. Anyone interested in this type of packaging should choose based on the material they are putting into the container. Listed below are the most common types of packaging.

Jars and utensils are commonly used for face creams, lotions, foundations, lip balms, powders and other cosmetics. These range in size from 20 mm to 60 mm and can hold anywhere from 25 ml (or less) to 250 ml. Shapes include: oval, square, round and some of them are also square with round utensils in the middle. Although acrylic containers are usually clear, they can be tinted or frosted. These are similar to the appearance of glass, although they are not prone to breaking and they are very light.

PP plastic containers are very inexpensive and they are of excellent quality. This type of material is commonly used for products such as lotions, eye shadow palettes, soap dishes and other types of cosmetics. It is much softer than acrylic plastic, and is not durable.
